Review on 🪜 Ikea Bekväm Step Ladder: 3-Tread, Beech Wood, Collapsible - Includes Wall Hooks by Ricky Rey

Based on several reviews I tested the folding legs to ensure the hinge does not bind or stress the metal hinge. I had to shave about 1/16" from the two legs where they meet the ladder under the top step - opens and closes smoothly. Heavy duty metal hardware and typical IKEA hex head screws (tool included). Assembly is easy and should be after the Takes about 15-20 minutes to unpack. Untreated wood stool with a smooth, sanded finish. I painted mine with a dark solvent based walnut stain and it came out too nice to be used as an aged stool - so glad I got one Added layer of water based Eurothane satin to seal the fibers. I will eventually age and sand down some wear on the edges for character.
