I've always been pleased with Skechers construction and durability. I read most of the reviews before purchasing these sandals so let me join the debate on whether or not to stretch. Only one of my two strap combos stretches on my pair. This is a duo on the instep and only on the inside of the shoe. You see it's hard to explain. On the inside, there are three places where the straps attach to the sole: toe, ankle, and midsection; only the middle part is stretched, not the outer part of the shoe. However, there is one thing I would like to draw the manufacturer/designer's attention to. We hope you read customer reviews. My skechers are a size 10. Wow what a big leg! I couldn't help but agree. And because I have a big foot, I have bigger toes than you. Skechers could have been a little more generous with larger sizes with thumb loops. Fingers are NOT universal. This strap is tight. If any of those straps break, it's the straps around my big toe. What I like most about Skechers is the durable yet comfortable outsole. As a high school student, I avoid sandals because of the possibility of sores on my feet that won't heal, but sometimes a girl wants to show off her painted toenails. Now, weather permitting, I want to wear my new sandals outside (3/28/18). The six weeks prophesied by the stupid groundhog are over. I recommend these sandals to you without hesitation.
