I love these lightbulbs.

From the description I expected these lamps would please as I wanted something fairly dark to read at night that also wouldn't make me sleepy. I've been using the bulb in my bedside lamp for a few months now and I REALLY love it. Unfortunately, it's not as drab as I'd hoped, and I often place a pillowcase over the lampshade to darken it (which I think is a fire hazard). The light is very yellow, which suits me, but unexpectedly; Maybe the yellow tint makes it lighter? It is a very warm and pleasant light. Overall I would recommend incandescent bulbs and I have found that the light does not affect my natural sleepiness. However, I'm still wary of dimmers. Conclusion: The quality is excellent. An improvement over my previous lamps. I'm happy with the purchase but still open to alternatives in the future.
