There is no hole in the cork to attach the ring.
cork fits my needs perfectly. I needed one for my bathroom and I will be using the smallest one for the sink as well. They do their job as intended and the cost of the combination makes it very worthwhile. The only real problem is that the attached ring gets pinched and removed on first use. This makes it almost impossible to remove the tank drain plug. I drilled a hole and reattached the ring, then tightened it with pliers. Problem solved. If you buy, I would recommend drilling a hole before first use.
