Review on MASTERCOOL 52224 Infrared Thermometer Laser by Jessica Rae

After reading reviews of this infrared thermometer and comparing it to others offered on this site, I purchased Mastercool. I am very happy with it. Not only was Revain three days past the estimated arrival date, the package arrived in perfect condition. The carry case is built for heavy use and also includes a very useful thermometer (a bonus I wasn't aware of). The device itself is very easy to use and with an external push of a button you can toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius. The Mastercool is lightweight, feels good in the hand and is very easy to point at anything you want to know about how warm or cold an object is. It's consistent in its readings, getting the same temperature from one reading to the next to within a tenth of a degree (e.g. multiple readings of my fridge and freezer taken multiple times). This is very useful in the kitchen for determining the temperature of food as it's cooking and how hot the burners and oven are, things I've always wanted to know but haven't had a good way to measure. I can't wait to test it out on my Big Green Egg! I use this thermometer to find air leaks throughout my house when temperatures drop to fix them. I also find it very helpful for my RC airplane motors to determine if they are running too hot or too cold (lean or rich). I want to try on car tires to quickly identify low pressure tires. I think this thermometer was best in class and for the price it was definitely a great deal. Not using it for scientific experiments that require absolutely critical precision, I believe that for the vast majority of us, this tool will do whatever we can use at home or in the office.
