What a waste of frames I lost due to this incident. I had to buy a genuine branded dive box. I am a certified diver with various diving titles and underwater photography is NOT new to me. First, each button on the submersible has a plunger that activates the buttons on the camera (it's a Gopro Hero 7 Black for me). I was on a scuba diving trip in Cozumel and Tulum and wanted to use it at a depth of no more than 20-25m (55-70ft) and the problem is not the depth but the QA/QC of this unit. As I described the buttons, it is impossible to activate the camera. Of course, I didn't realize this until after I was prepared, inflated the BC in the water and ready to dive into the cenote (snorkeling in underground caves). My dive team had to wait for me with their precious nitrox air which we all paid for as clumsy air. The only workaround I could find, which worked about 20% of the time, was to slide additional moisture strips into the dive housing to slide the camera close enough to even try the start/stop button to use my GoPro. What a terrible experience with this product. I buy hundreds of items through Amazon for myself and my family and this one has been the worst so far. The second problem is diving at the bottom of the ocean in Palancar. Reefs in Cozumel I wanted to go from video to photo. Big mistake as I couldn't use the buttons to take pictures of marine life, coral or anything else NOR could I use the buttons to change modes to at least stop recording the entire dive. to then pull the photos out of the miscellaneous frame. Please pay attention to this article. Learn from my experience and choose either a genuine product or another dive box. I will contact the seller once I post this review.
