Review on ASUS Strix XG27UQR Gaming Monitor - 3840x2160p, 144Hz, Anti-Glare, Blue Light Filter, Flicker-Free, Tilt Adjustment by Preston Ross

I really wanted to like this monitor. 144Hz, gsync, 4k is exactly what I wanted. I have a similar 1080p ASUS monitor that I've been using for a few years with no problems (same features except resolution). I couldn't help but notice the bright oval in the center of the screen on dark or dimly lit content. I thought this was the game I'm playing, so I reproduced the same results in MS Paint. Just paint the screen black and see there's an oval. Sorry but that's not acceptable for a $700 monitor. I sent it back and Revain did a great job with the return. In the end I chose Samsung Odessey with 144hz, gsync, 4k. So far no problem.
