Good camera/monitor kit for backup display on camper trailers

I actually bought three camera/monitor kits. I installed one of the cameras on the back of my 26ft Cruiser Fun Finder RV trailer using the trailer mounted pre-wiring for the Furrion backup camera system (which is about double the price for a single Furrion camera and monitor one of these units). ). I installed the other 2 cameras on the front of the trailer on the underside on the left and right, pointing slightly outwards and backwards. Connecting the wiring takes a little time, but it's not difficult. I connected the 2 side front cameras directly to the trailer battery with a built in fuse between them (2 amps is more than enough). Since each camera is equipped with a quick connect/disconnect connector, I use the quick connect to disconnect the cameras when not in use (so they don't drain the trailer battery). Since the reversing camera connects to the Furrion's pre-fitted camera mount, it's switched on and off via the trailer lights (so you'll need to turn on the lights on your tractor while driving, which is probably a good idea anyway for safety reasons). The two front side cameras on the trailer provide a good view of vehicles in the lanes next to the trailer as well as the underside of the trailer. As fun as it sounds, it's actually good to have a look under the trailer so you can keep an eye on the trailer's tires (for possible dirt, loose wheel, or crack issues) or road debris affecting you could be jogging gear. The backup camera gives you a good view of everything behind your trailer as well as vehicles approaching from either side of the trailer. Occasionally, at higher speeds, the reversing camera will have a lag time (which is around 4 seconds) when using a traditional radio antenna. -5 inches long) due to the distance between the camera and the monitor. However, if you contact the manufacturer at their web address given in the instructions that came with the camera, you can get a longer antenna for free. A longer antenna helps eliminate signal delays in wireless communication. I personally have each camera hooked up to a separate monitor (that's why I have 3 monitors in tow). I find it easier to see what's going on this way. I believe this company also offers a version with 2 cameras that can be connected to a single monitor. So if dash space is a bit tight and you don't want to have multiple monitors in your tow truck, you can go this route. . There are several ways to mount the monitor in the tractor cab. If you prefer a suction cup mount, this is not included. You need to contact the manufacturer and ask them to send you one. You will do it for free. Note that you may need to order suction cup mounts, so it may take some time to receive them. Overall I think these are good camera/monitor kits and would recommend them to others looking to install a camera system. on their facility.
