Folds too easily

I thought this little storage box would be perfect for my office's stylish wastebasket. Well, it turns out that's not the case. The basket is beautiful and all, and the material is of excellent quality, but the mechanism that makes it foldable cannot securely lock in the unfolded configuration. It's quite difficult to unfold and once you've locked it down you might think it's going to stay that way forever, and it will if you don't use it. Once you start using it, it will probably crash on you from time to time. I've attached a picture showing the frame snapping into place and simply sliding out and being held there by a 1/16" or 1/8" thick tab of what appears to be rigid cardboard. If for any reason the frame is thrown over that small ledge, the basket will collapse. I've still tried using it with negligible results, but I find fixing issues gets worse from time to time. While it looks great I'm going back to my black basket which is way more functional. If you have an application for it that doesn't involve touching it much, this will likely work for you. If they change the design so that it can be blocked without the possibility of accidental collapsing, it becomes a lightweight 5-star storage basket. If you have any questions about the cart, just ask them in the comments and I'll do my best to respond quickly.
