Searching for the perfect strap

Due to too many broken or uncomfortable straps on my laptop bag, I came to Revain in search of the perfect strap. After looking at too many product reviews, I narrowed down the list to five different belts and put them to the test. Competitors: β€’ Victorinox Comfort Fit Shoulder Strap β€’ OP/TECH USA SOS Bag Strap β€’ Skooba Superbungee Strap β€’ Travelon Shoulder Strap β€’ Klein 58889 Padded Adjustable Shoulder Strap The Klein strap is really for tool bags. Hence it is an ultimate duty. If I wanted to take a bag to war, I would take this strap. I can't imagine it ever breaking or falling apart. However, it's not suitable for prolonged wear (e.g. airport runs) - it's just not comfortable enough for prolonged use. The Travelon harness has good reviews and is moderately comfortable. The shape of the padding makes it easy to throw over any shoulder and the price is reasonable. However... He slips. The padding simply lacks grip and slips off the shoulder easily. If you wear your belt across your chest like a messenger bag, then this is probably for you. Skooba strap. It's big and comfortable - probably the most comfortable of the five straps - but you're certainly paying for comfort - it's not cheap. This strap makes the bag feel 50% lighter than others - the suspension system really works. But it also slips - there just isn't enough grip in the padding to keep it on your shoulder. If you have narrow shoulders this is even worse due to the width of the padding. The width of the padding and lack of flex also make it uncomfortable to wear across the chest. OR/TECH. Again, the price is right, coming second to the Skooba in the comfort department. I really like this strap, it has enough grip to stay on the shoulder without slipping and the neoprene really helps reduce the feel of weight. An added bonus is that the straps can be unhooked and threaded through the buckle system. However, it seems that this tape does not stand up to heavy use. It seems a bit easy. Victorinox. This belt holds up very well - I'm absolutely not afraid of it slipping off my shoulders. The padding is moderately comfortable, maybe a little more comfortable than the Travelon, but a far cry from OP/TECH or Skooba. It looks well built and will stand up to heavy use (as it should given the price). Final Results? Nobody gets 5 stars. Victorinox fits in my laptop bag. It has the right mix of grip/durability and comfort but at the highest price of the five. I'm also keeping OP/TECH and will use it for a lighter bag - I'll report on the bag if it holds up. If so, then it could find its way into a laptop bag and become the latest 5-star winner. The remaining three straps are returned. After all, they are just not suitable for my use. Review. I still use Victorinox in my laptop bag every day. At this point the strap has actually survived 2 pockets and apart from a slight discoloration of the black plastic? at the strap/shoulder pad junction still looks and works like new. Exceptionally happy with the product and changed it to 5 stars. FWIW, Op/Tech is still used regularly in my camera bag (DSLR so not exactly lightweight). Although not used in the same way as the Victorinox, it also looks and works like new and I'm very happy with this strap too (although I still don't think it will hold up to use). my laptop bag).
