Review on ๐Ÿงฅ GEMYSE Waterproof Jacket: The Ultimate Windproof Fleece for Boys' Clothing by Joe Glass

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This jacket has been tested in harsh conditions and does a great job.

There are two styles of environments that ski jackets are particularly harsh. I bought both Gemyse jackets for my sons and we have tested both types of conditions back to back with great results! The first night the temperature was around 34 degrees with freezing rain. Much rain. The jackets were first soaked with freezing rain, and then the usual rain began to fall. It rained about 6 hours straight. The test of a jacket isn't whether it resists moisture penetration from a quick splash. It's about whether the inside stays warm and dry after the outside has been damp for a long time. These jackets kept the kids warm and dry which meant we could stay on the slopes until our tickets expired. The next morning I took my gear to the laundry to dry, setting it on medium (so as not to melt anything). and made sure the moisture was gone by the second night. The second night we experienced 17 degree temperatures with strong winds and 2 degree cold. The mountain was snowing, so we had very cold temperatures, we got snow thrown at us, we fought strong winds and again we stayed warm and dry. The ski patrol made announcements about possible frostbite, but we were cozy and warm. We were all impressed. No complaints from the kids - they were concerned about the cold until we saw how well the equipment worked. I will definitely buy this jacket again and will probably buy it again when the kids inevitably outgrow it. If you have kids you could spend a lot more for a trendier brand, but this jacket should do the job and you won't regret spending a ton of money on gear that might only fit your kids for a season or two.
