I love this piece. I've used it in many ways - working in the car, setting up my iPad to draw, holding my laptop at monitor level while using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, watching a movie in the bathroom, working in bed, working. on a sofa or with a sofa as a backrest, even as a breakfast table in bed. but! As others have said there is no mechanism to fix the legs. You can lock the adjustable height, but the legs don't lock. it's annoying. You need to stay conscious because if you knock on the table or move it, it can collapse. - If you have an Allen key (you know, the knick-knack that comes with all your Ikea furniture) you can use it to tighten the legs to make them harder to bend inward. I keep an Allen key in a handy little drawer. If this problem was fixed I would give this table more than 5 stars.
