Strong cedar smell in the wood
If you can get rid of the kerosene smell when you open the boards, you will eventually smell cedar (I know how good cedar smells). I personally would look for a different cedar product if I was going to sheathe that whole old chest I bought. I sprayed a whole bottle of cedar essential oil on the tree, but it quickly turned into $$$$.
