Review on 🎙️ OM Digital Solutions DM-520 Digital Voice Recorder by Yuan Walsh

If you are a student and need a recording device to "record" your lectures. this is the recorder for you. I'm not very good at note-taking, so I needed a device that I can use to basically support myself when taking notes from lectures. I bought it in 2009 when I entered grad school and it has served me well without any problems. The DM-520 is great at picking up the voices of soft-spoken classmates across the room. as well as suppressing (or minimizing) the sounds of humming air conditioners or heaters and street noise from open windows. Clarity of recording and playback were my main characteristics. On the positive side, MP3 and WMA recordings sound even better on your PC via Real Player or Windows Media. I LOVE the external micro SD card (again only up to 16GB) and the USB connectivity. Although I don't need it, I like the voice capabilities of this device. When you turn it on, it's so nice to hear "Battery High" at the beginning. I can typically record at least 4-5 two hour lectures per charge of the included batteries. You can use regular batteries or a full size USB charger when you are in need. This was the second most important feature for me. The last major feature I was looking for was the feel and reliability of the recorder. It seems very durable and has survived many falls on my part. An added plus is the case, which I carry all the time (as I tend to drop everything). Yes, your records will be perfect with the case. The tripod stand on the case is also a nice bonus. As others have said, this is NOT a voice recorder. If that's what you need. Keep searching. However, if you need an AMAZING voice recorder for lectures, seminars, webinars, meetings and more, the DM-520 is a MUST.
