I have 2 problems with my eyes. After injuring my right eye, I suffered from eye erosion at night for several years. I have been seeing the doctor regularly for this and the last time was a few months ago when I pointed out my new problem which is chalazions in my left eye. The doctor told me to do warm compresses which I had been trying on and taking off for a couple of weeks before speaking to him. I found it too awkward and too busy running to the microwave so many times throughout the day and holding a warm pack to my face. I gave up thinking it would go away in a few months. I was wrong, they were still there and as big as ever, the entire lower eyelid area was swollen. That's when I came across this mask and it solved my previous problems. First, it connects and keeps the right temperature all the time. No more running to the microwave. It heats up quickly. (I prefer high settings). It is shaped and filled in such a way that it actually puts pressure on the eyelid and not the eye area. It's convenient and has a timer so you can turn it on and fall asleep. I have a child who often wakes me up several times during the night, so I have to have multiple procedures during the night (although I only peed the first one). You can move the filler around in the mask to make sure you're really compressing the problem areas. I love how the mask is connected to the wire so it's easy to pop in and out to get wet. It really blocks the light to sleep. In a week he significantly reduced the swelling of my eyelid and reduced the size of the chalazions themselves. As an added bonus, it also seems to have helped my eye erosion in the other eye, although I still apply the ointment at night as it still feels dry in the morning if I don't.
