Review on Phoenix Red Osprey Duro 15 Men's Running Hydration Vest - Medium/Large Size by Mike Pfettscher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm in love. That's great.

I am in love with this bag. I tried it on empty thinking it would be too long and straight for me but I filled the chamber and trunk and it fits almost like a glove. I have hips so the waist belt is a bit straighter than my body, but this bag wasn't designed for my body type so that's to be expected. It still fits perfectly and hardly moves. My bust is larger than the listed size but it still fits very well. There's plenty of play to adjust or for larger bodies. There are many straps that you can adjust to get the right fit and bounce control. I don't run, but I walk my dog very quickly on bumpy paths. I have to lug around some dog stuff and it's tiring (and slows my pace even more) when I have to stop and take off my bag to get a poop bag or whatever. I also want my phone to be on my chest or waist and not in my seat pocket so it doesn't hit the bottom of my pocket and GPS and other signals (Bluetooth/ANT+) aren't blocked by the pocket or my body. I like lots of pockets in the front, so I wear running vests. I also couldn't carry enough water to keep it from spilling out (in a liter jug) and I had to carry separate water for my dog because I couldn't easily pour water from my hydrator into her bowl. This bubble is happy because I can press the bite valve with my finger and two streams of water come out either in my other hand or in the pup cup. The bladder is big enough to hold water for both of us for a few hours, depending on the weather and how much I spill (or how much she refuses to drink). It sloshes out, but not as much as other types of containers, and you can squeeze air out. It also keeps well in a bag. My dog and I don't like the taste of this sparkling water, but we drink it anyway. You can make it taste faster by adding lemon juice and water, but I haven't gotten to that yet. I will update in a month or so. I think it will taste a lot better over time. I really like the chest strap attachment system. I wasn't sold at first, but it's a lot easier to adjust than other vest straps. There are also many height options. You can attach the drinking tube's magnet to either strap or remove it entirely if you prefer something else. The bag has multiple pockets for storage. The hip pockets are great, much larger than most similar vests or even some backpacks. They contain everything I need. The top back pocket has a lanyard and can hold your delicate items up so they don't get wet if the camera is damaged or leaking (mine hasn't leaked yet, but it does drip in a pocket sometimes). when I disconnect/connect the inflation hose). I keep a warm or waterproof layer in my gear bag and medical gear, extra treats and a dog bowl in the main body. There is also space for other things. And even though it's not full, I can tie it down so it doesn't move. There are side mesh pockets to store or store the ends of your trekking poles. I think the only thing I would change now is to make the gray parts black. Oh, and I'd add a nice big handle at the top! I keep it on a hanger at home, it's okay. But we often go on a long hike, then we go to the dog park, and of course after the hike, all my dog stuff is in this bag, so I take it with me. I don't want to put this beautiful bag on the muddy ground or hang it on the fence by the straps. I tried that but I think it damages the foam inside. I can fasten the belt but then I have to remember to take it with me or leave it on all the time so it bounces behind my head. However, this is a phenomenal bag.
