Switched to this model from a 2022 MacBook Pro 13. I took the gray version with the American keyboard layout (ANSI). Of course, in my case it was just a constant "wow" the first days of use. For those migrating from more recent MacBooks, chances are the difference won't be as noticeable. If you generalize and look at it as a whole, then this, of course, is an ideal computer for any person whose activity requires more than just a “typewriter”. The display is juice. The keyboard is good, with a normal stroke and no shortcomings of the "butterfly": for almost two months everything has been working flawlessly. The sound is super, really the best so far on laptops, it seems to me. There are no questions about the speed of work either - everything flies, from WiFi to frantic recording to disk (2022+ mb / s). RAM is also enough for the eyes. What can confuse (not counting macOS - for me for almost ten years there is simply no more convenient operating system): 1. Weight. Sizes - yes, good, a little more than the "tag" of the same year. But it weighs under 2 kg - suddenly it's too much for someone. 2. Webcam - sadness. 3. USB-C ports and no card reader. There is a double story here, because more and more peripherals appear under USB-C. In addition, if we take into account the “home-work-home” use case, then one adapter at home connects perfectly through a single port, delivering both the image to the monitor, and sound, and regular USB inputs. However, it may still be inconvenient for some. 4. Well, finally, yes, the price. "White" models should be taken only if you do not mind overpaying for a local warranty. But since the keyboard here is new, not breaking in the same way (like a “butterfly”), then I think it makes sense to save money and take a “gray” model without PCT, in my opinion.
