You need to melt the candle wax and then heat it to 70ºC according to the instructions. My research: You should heat the wax to 82°C, then allow the wax to cool to around 130°F and, stirring constantly, add the essential oil at a ratio of 5% to a maximum of 8%; Continue stirring for 2 minutes. This wax should be a mixture of beeswax and something else. Natural beeswax has a pleasant aroma, but this wax doesn't smell until you melt it, and it's very dense. Bags of wax granules and shavings are not weighed pro rata. My bags averaged less than 4 ounces each. The instructions are simple and I wish they had more warnings. This is where I made a mistake: I started simmering without using a water bath, you must use a water bath.
