Review on CCA CA4 IEM Earphones: HiFi Stereo Bass DJ Monitor with Noise Isolation, Removable 2pins Connector, and Mic - Black by David Fisher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Probably the best IEMs under $20

I give 5 stars based on the price for what you get. They're not perfect, but anything under $20 will have major flaws. However, CCA CA4 does not have a single glaring flaw. I had low expectations based only on the price but they are stunning for what they are. The comfort is exceptional; One of the most comfortable headphones I've ever used. I've been using it for a few hours straight without getting tired. Sound Rating: I'll start at the bottom. There is a bass, it is tight, but not expressed in any way, I adjusted it a little with an equalizer and the sound did not suffer at all, it remains tight and does not stir up other frequencies. It's a little lacking in sub-bass range, but that's certainly not a problem. The mids are definitely recessed, which is to be expected at this price point and with this driver configuration, but they are clean. The highs are pronounced but not overly so - if, like me, you're sensitive to those higher frequencies, they can be too difficult to manage at higher volumes, but I've had a much worse experience with other IEMs. Again, adjusting the EQ can easily remedy this. The sound quality is good everywhere. It's certainly not perfect, but I'd say it's in line with what you'd expect for the $50+. The build is solid, it's a plastic case, but it doesn't feel too cheap. It has a very good picture but a very narrow soundstage. The frequency separation is good. Overall I am very impressed with the sound quality. If you only have $20 to spend on headphones, I would definitely go with them.
