I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this collar. The only complaint I have is that when I received them they had a strong odor reminiscent of flaxseed or some other oil. I don't know what they were treated with, I ended up washing them with saddle soap and letting them air out for about 2 weeks before putting them on my dogs. I followed them exactly and didn't notice any side effects. It's nice to see the double stitching around the edges as it should increase the durability and longevity of these collars. It's amazing how many basic leather collars you see on the market without thinking about durability.
