Review on Opulent Black All-Terrain Baby Jogger Stroller, City Mini GT2 by Amy Ruiz

More trouble than its worth

I purchased the GT2 double stroller for my newborn and 18 month old. I thought I did my research and found the matching car seat adapter and child tray, but apparently even though the descriptions and packaging says "GT2" that doesn't mean its for the double. Even the items that ARE compatible with the double don't actually say the word "double" anywhere, they just say "GT2". Apparently, they don't make a Chicco car seat adapter for the double strollers, and the ones they do make (Graco/ britax / maxi-cosi) have been on back order for OVER 6 MONTHS! You even need an adapter for their own Baby Jogger car seat, which seems ridiculous. They don't know when they will have the adapters in stock, so this stroller is useless for use with a newborn. And I know, it "lays flat" (its not 100% flat but I guess its close.) but even at the lowest settings, the harness is huge on a newborn and it doesn't feel safe to walk her around in. Plus who wants to transfer a sleeping newborn back and forth between car seat and stroller? Even trying to find the correct child snack tray is a mission. The compatible product is model# 2104673 btw, took me waiting on hold for 40 minutes with Baby Jogger to confirm. Once you purchase the stroller, be prepared to spend 100s more on all the accessories. Car seat adapter (if you can find one) $60, child tray (also on back order so price is up on the ones you can find) $20-50, belly bar $40, useful parent console (because apparently a $600 stroller doesn't come with cup holders) $40-60.At the end of the day this stroller is more trouble than its worth!
