It didn't take long for my Umbrella Cockatoo to destroy the cardboard rings or the bell. But at the time I expected it and to be honest it wasn't the main reason I bought it. He destroys every bell he comes across - first ripping out the tongue, then ripping the bell from whatever it is clinging to, and then often ripping off the top of the bell. Cardboard lasted about 2 days. However, the plastic rings remain and that is the main reason I bought these. I hung it on the end of a toy string hanging from the ceiling. He loves to play with plastic rings and can now take them off the hooks and play with them individually. When he gets tired of them and throws them away, I just put them together so he wants to play next time. It can be later in the day and definitely not later than the next day. This is by far his favorite toy.
