I bought this to help me after I broke six ribs. It fit tightly around me to prevent as much movement as possible to my ribs. My adult son had to zip me in but he didnt find it uncomfortable doing it because the cups have a large front area and covered what it needed to cover. In my particular situation it was a Godsend.
