As someone who cares about the environment, I was disheartened to learn that Plasticplace's assertion that it specializes in eco-friendly products is not even close to being accurate. Plastic, which is bad for the environment, is used in the production of all of their bags, including those used for trash, compost, and yard waste. Despite the fact that they make reference to compost bags, they do not offer any information regarding whether or not their bags are actually biodegradable or whether or not they require commercial composting facilities. In addition, the opaque nature of their website raises concerns about the company. They do not provide any information on the proportion of recycled materials used in the production of their goods, nor do they make any reference to certifications or environmental labels. It is abundantly obvious that Plasticplace is more concerned with marketing their products as being environmentally friendly rather than actually providing options that are environmentally conscious. In addition to that, the quality of their merchandise is below average. The lawn bags are not strong enough to withstand the weight of large leaves or debris, and the trash bags are very prone to tearing. The fact that I had to continually rebag my leaves and use an additional bag for my garbage negates the usefulness of the products that I purchased in the first place. In general, I would not suggest Plasticplace to anyone seeking for products that are both gentler on the environment and more long-lasting. Their claims that they specialize in environmentally responsible products are deceptive, and the products they sell do not live up to the promises that were made about them.
