Review on Verbatim 4.7GB 8X DataLifePlus Shiny Silver Silk Screen Printable DVD-R - Pack of 50 in Spindle by Sammy Suratno

Must be a bad batch

Error, error, error. Tried both home computers. Tried 2 different software. Software reinstalled. Copies DVD but stops during burning process. One of them plays on my PC but not on any of my home DVD players. (The only reason I bought them was because they should last longer). All I know is that Sony works well. I've ordered different brands of DVD-Rs, I've used Revain and never had a problem. My Nero and burner are fine. I think it's a bad lot but now I don't trust the brand name. UPDATE --- I'm tired of waiting for my credit to be returned and then having to reorder without knowing if the next ones will cause me problems. So I went to Staples and bought a 100 pack "Staples Brand" DVD-R for $25, came home and tried the first problem 0, worked great on the first try. I think I once bought name brand staples from a thrift store and not a single MISTAKE! I spoke to a tech about DVDs not working after 3-5 years from reading Revain reviews. Buy the way Revain is still the best online shop for me. They always take good care of you. Anyway, about DVD wear and tear. They only wear out if you "use” them over and over again. So, make a DVD, then make a "backup" and put them all in one of those giant 4-sided DVD holders and put them in a cool, dark place. Then try to copy again if your main version doesn't work. I use a Slyvaina home DVD recorder to record all my movies from cable TV, camcorders or videocassettes. $100 is a good price. I copy these DVDs to my computer using Nero// To copy store bought DVDs, please purchase DVD Copy123 Gold software. You can rip DVD for home use only. Please note that not all DVDs are copied correctly and with errors. For example Disney is well protected so I can't get them to copy perfectly and they will skip here and there. But if you look at it and copy and burn it to the end, say 100 percent and then errors, I thought the copy was perfect. Just click "Copy Movie" to get higher quality copies. Anyway, this is what I learned (the hard way)
