I wrote the rest of this rack review but I think I mentioned the power distributor there as well. It complemented the new setting perfectly. It comes with quite a long cord, but when I'm done my new outlet is only 1 foot away so it's tucked away at the bottom of my rack. It has good LEDs on the front to show the power status. My garage is more of a warehouse and laboratory for my side business. I had two separate Netgear switches sitting on a makeshift shelf with a cheap power strip. I decided 2 years ago to mount my house wiring on a sheet of solid plywood, so I figured since I have a 2ft x 3ft wall panel I'll put all my stuff on it. I settled on the following: a rack extender, a new smart switch and shelving to install one of the routers and a firewall and I still have room. I plan to install a new punch card there as well when I have time. . All components (mostly from the same manufacturer) turned out to be quite durable. I am happy with the end result.
