This mount has powerful magnets to hold your device in place, unfortunately the adhesive on the base is not enough to attach it to the dashboard or windshield. The mount is more secure than others as it allows you to keep your eyes on the road by mounting your phone on the dashboard or windshield rather than on an air vent or cup holder where you have to face away from the road. It is a pity that the mount is not attached to the dashboard or windshield for more than 3-4 days. ALWAYS heat the adhesive at the base of the mount to ensure a firm hold on the dashboard. My dashboard has a leather-like texture with a coarse grain and the adhesive is strong but doesn't last more than a week. I heated the glue with a hair dryer on high power for 1-2 minutes. Thanks to the high-quality workmanship and strong magnets, the phone stays securely in place even when driving off-road, and the extendable arm does not wobble or dangle. It just crashes at the end. The magnetic holder on the back of the phone case eventually came loose by itself.
