Works great. 15 minutes (I've done this before) and my microwave is working great again. For now I only needed a normally closed switch, but I'm glad to have a normally open switch as a backup if and when that microswitch fails in my microwave. For those having trouble getting the switch to work - make sure you are using the correct switch! Look closely at the switch you are removing. On the side it has a circuit with NC and NO on it. If the pin is on NC you need to use a normally closed switch and if the pin is on NO you need a normally open switch. Most microwave ovens have both switches, so you'll need to be careful about which one you're replacing.
