Glue doesn't match

I wanted to use this to replace the zipper on an old winter coat that I use for outdoor work. I tested its stickiness with a small plaster. and practically does not stick to the fabric of the coat. I'll work with it a bit; I wonder if it will stick to other fabrics? Or maybe leather/plastic? But I didn't want to sew it onto my coat, and it looks like I'll have to. Maybe I'll try heating it with an iron.

They didn't stick as well as I expected to the wall. You need to use on lightweight items
