Review on Splendid Set of Super Squiggles Outline Markers - 12 Vibrant Shimmer Colors for Artistry and Drawing Perfection by Michelle Langley

I'm always looking for new and interesting art supplies, so when I saw them I had to try these markers. I decided to test the claim that they can be used on any surface. I've tried them on smooth plastic, tape, metal, cardboard, cardboard, and construction paper that I use successfully with other markers. Check out the photos for the pros and cons listed below. Pros: You work on paper as advertised. They are lightly toned silver in color with a colored border. Easy to use if you follow the instructions like other markers. After drying, they appear permanent. Calligraphy looks pretty good on paper. CONS: Although they advertise that these pens can be used on any surface, THE OUTLINE EFFECT ONLY WORKS ON PAPER. (See photo) These pens LEAK THROUGH PAPER, even cardboard. you color! If the ink bleeds out, it will definitely stain the surface under paint and look permanent! In closing, I would like to say that once you know their properties, it can be fun to get creative with these markers. I DID NOT LET THE KIDS PLAY WITH IT! Even though they are water based, they make a mess. Always use on a protective surface.
