Review on Pilot Automotive WL254-C 'Skull/Flames' Motorcycle License Plate Frame: Rev Up Your Ride with this Fiery Skull Design! by Bradley Wacks

I ordered this plate frame to spice up my bike a bit. I figured it would be a pretty easy 10 minute transition from my current record frame. NOT CORRECT! Several design flaws in this panel frame make installation difficult. Ten minutes of work turned into an hour! The mounting holes are so close to "bones and flames" that the screws I used didn't work. As a result I had to get longer screws and put spacers on them! Before purchasing, zoom the product image and you will see that there is no space left for the screw head. The top bone also hides my registration plate, which might make you stop here in Arizona. I like the way it looks. It appears to be metal and is quite rigid so I'm hoping it will hold up for a while. Installed today, we'll see. I just wish they had left a little more room to allow the mounting screw heads to sit flat in the mounting holes without having to create a bypass gasket for this to work. I also wish the top bone was a bit taller to allow for an unobstructed view of the license plate.
