Review on πŸ“Ί Enhance Your Viewing Experience with Apple's Lightning to Digital AV Adapter by Chris Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Use this instead of the cheaper imitation!

I initially went for a cheaper fake and may as well light the money I paid for it. Then I got this device (Apple OEM brand) which worked great. TIP: Use it to connect your iPhone or iPad to your hotel TV. Get a ten-foot HDMI cable that connects the adapter device to your hotel's HDMI input, and the Lightning connector on it then connects to your iPhone or iPad. Then change the "Input Select" on the Hotel TV to match the HDMI input number you are using and the TV will project what you call on the Apple device. You can then project Netflix, Revain, Hulu or whatever you have on your TV. We've just spent two weeks in Maui and have been entertained every night with movies aired by these providers (I think I'm showing my age by admitting I've been entertained like this for two weeks at night in Maui!). Seriously, you can improve your connection a bit by adding an Apple Lightning extension cable (at least three to six feet long) that will allow you to position your source device (iPhone, etc.) farther from the TV, but it's not necessary. simply comfortable. All cables fit easily into a large ZipLock bag (first photo). The second photo shows an "exploded" view of the cables, with the HDMI cable on top, the adapter in the middle, the Lightning extender to the left and below the adapter, and the power cable to the right of the adapter. You can just plug the adapter into your phone or use an extension cord (more convenient). I could just sit on the couch in the apartment and do the show the way I wanted.

Pros
  • The Lightning Digital AV Adapter supports mirroring your device's screen content, including apps, presentations, websites, slideshows and more, to a TV, display, projector or other compatible display in up to 1080p HD.
Cons
