Easy to assemble, simply untie the continuous loop but leave two knots close together to untie the cord from the handle. I roughly split the pack in half and put the clip on one half. Getting the kite airborne wasn't difficult, be careful not to step on the tail (squid/octopus feet) as it's quite long. When the kite has taken some air and opened up, it will climb fine. Hold the included handle securely and use a wiggling motion to release the rope from the handle. Very easy, if you get your kids to fly them and worried they won't let go, you can use carabiners and a 550 line to attach the handle and long waist cord or belt loop if you go this route, don't use them in high winds (duh!). The material of the kite is what it is and for the price the stitching is pretty good and all the cords are attached. Minor repairs are possible if necessary. If you use these kites carefully, they should last you for a while. Overall I am very happy with this product and will buy again in the future.
