HOWEVER, amid a debate about whether to keep this item, I tried a different channel. The channel I usually use for these devices. it's just pure silence where you don't want to be. I switched to the next channel it's just static and it's very clear! The weird static noise is gone and the sound is amazing so try a few different unused FM channels before heading out for that refund and see if that solves your problem! Back to 5 stars 😊 Edit: Feb 3rd, deducting a star as I noticed static noise when listening to music, I hadn't noticed it before but seems to be most consistent when songs and other media are "S" and say something like that. It shows the connected device. It has a volume control with a button in the middle to easily pause the music or answer a call. The blue LED does not distract at all at night. "Pairing" the voice prompt, like other devices, just pleasant soft beeps/calls. Installation was easy, plug in and set the desired channel on the unit, then tune the radio to the same channel and connect to Bluetooth. I can be heard clearly when receiving a call while using the device. Overall it's great and I highly recommend it! My only wish is that the lever length for the LED screen is a bit higher so it's less of an in the way of my cup holder and shifter.
