They're about $3 each which is pretty damn good. I like buying things that last, but it seems that regardless of brand, these little bugs should be treated as something disposable. However, the service life can be greatly increased by keeping the speed as low as possible. I use them for bowl grinding mainly on the lathe. Keep the drill bit on slow mode (drilling mode) and keep the lathe speed at or below 450 RPM. Heat is the enemy of Velcro, so low speeds really help prolong life. However, the foam on these or others I've used will eventually crack and wear away over time. But they seem to be holding up better than most.
