Finetec is a leading brand of metallic and pearlescent watercolours. When this new set came out I was dying to try it. However, due to the high price of $59.99 for six colors, I hesitated and it took me several months to decide on it. As soon as I do that, I admit that I was in love. But I should mention that the two colors are very similar. Even if you tilt your work to capture the metallic sheen, all the colors will look like copper. To maximize the color change you need to apply at least three coats. Fortunately, with Finetec this is not difficult as they are very creamy and easy to apply. As with any pearlescent or mental watercolor, they work best on dark surfaces, preferably black watercolor paper.
