I use organic cotton yarn to make candles every day. I know different types. It is 2mm wide and 1mm thick as described. Cotton braided, 200 feet long on a spool. Cotton burns clean and is not waxed. The problem with this cotton wick compared to others I use is that it ends up wearing out quickly. This may not bring freshness to the candle if the candle wick is frequently touched or moved. It may also dissipate somewhat during the candle making process. I recommend leaving some extra wick so you can trim off the frayed area. If the candle does not burn for a long time and the wick burns out, this too may have little effect on the flame. I did a wick test with another brand and it wears out quicker. I will still use this wick but a tighter braid is recommended.
