Review on 📸 MegaGear Genuine Leather Half Case for Sony Alpha A7 III, A7R III, A9 – Ever Ready by Kelly Starr

I really wanted to have half a bag like that. It's made of nice leather, with good stitching, looks great and would be exactly what I was looking for. except it doesn't fit and blocks the lens release button. I've read other reviews that mentioned the poor fit, but I was hoping the company had already addressed this issue. Unfortunately I have to say with disappointment that this has not been addressed. I can't understand why. The material feels great, the stitching is great and it looks really good on camera. This also solves the hanging pinky problem as it makes the grip a bit longer. If only the manufacturer would adjust the grip area to really fit the camera grip, this would be the perfect product. As you can see from the photos, there is a fairly large gap around the shooting area on one side and the biggest problem is that it blocks the lens release button. You either have to remove this half-shell every time you change lenses, or you have to press very hard on the side of the grip to get to the button, which is very cumbersome. Please redesign the grip to fit the camera grip properly and don't block the lens release button and you will be able to sell a much better product. Unfortunately I had to send it back because it doesn't fit in its current condition. I do not recommend purchasing until the grip has been redesigned for a better fit.
