Our kitty had tummy surgery and was sent home with a cone. Thats much better. It's snug but stretchy and breathable. The design is great as it goes around the neck first because I made a homemade romper just for our girl to knit before it arrived but she came out a few times! As soon as I put it on, she accepted it with ease and seemed happier with it than homemade. There's also enough space in the back for her to go to the bathroom without getting in his way. Two tips: 1. Buy two in case one gets dirty or dirty so you have a backup; and 2. Consider washing it before dressing to prevent the kitten's skin from absorbing the dyes. I highly recommend this as it's way better than a cone and keeps kitties from licking their tummy. and they are not unhappy and can sleep better, which is really important when it comes to healing.
