Review on πŸ‹ Chef'n Lemon FreshForce Citrus Juicer, 10.25 inches in length by Dianna Oden

Two years later, we're still happily squeezing every lemon and lime we get.

I'm Italian and my boyfriend is Salvadoran, which means that our kitchen is the heart of our home. Both of our cultures cook great tasting food, so we finely chop and press food every day. Since we add lemon or lime juice to many of our dishes, we wanted to buy a manual citrus press that could stand up to everyday use. The first one we bought broke after two weeks. We did a little research and ordered a Chef'n FreshForce citrus juicer; Two years later, we're still enjoying squeezing every lemon and lime we can get our hands on! EfficiencyThis juicer's dual-gear design increases output as you squeeze the handles. This feature is the main difference between this product and other manual citrus presses on the market. I've found that I get more juice from fruit with less effort. When I juice a lemon, the pulp is almost dry on the rind, indicating that all of the juice has been squeezed out of that lemon. A strong grip is usually required to achieve this result with other manual juicers. DurabilityEvery time I use our juicer it feels like brand new. There is no feeling or sign of it losing function or becoming less stable. I use this juicer 4 times a week on average, using 3 lemons or limes with each meal; Cut those citrus fruits in half to squeeze the juice out of them and I could once count that I use this juicer an average of 24 times a week. That's about 96 times a month and 1152 times a year. Banquet not included! I have owned and used this juicer at this speed for two years and it is as efficient and reliable as the day FedEx put it on my porch. If I do manage to damage this product, it will be covered by a lifetime warranty. Materials The rounded knobs, gears, and juice filter are made of hard plastic, which the company says is BPA- and melamine-free. Bolts and a press are made of strong metal. Metal adds weight to the product, but it's still easy to hold and operate with one hand. Our juicer has gone through a high temperature wash and dry cycle in the dishwasher with no damage, melting or conversion. Cleaning As mentioned above, I cleaned this juicer in a high temperature dishwasher and it has held up well. Most of the time I wash by hand because the product is easy to clean thoroughly. The gear opens at an angle that allows the sponge to easily access all parts of the juicer. Rinsing off juice, pulp and soap is also made easier by the open angle enabled by the mechanism. There are no parts in this product that you cannot fully see as two stabilizing screws attach the press to the handles. I like that I can see all the pieces in case the pulp gets stuck and needs to be rinsed out. In general, its design reduces the likelihood of bacterial growth. Storage The juicer fits easily in a 7.6 cm high drawer. There are two tabs on the bottom of the juice filter that help keep the juicer upright and prevent it from slipping or jamming the drawer.
