The size is such that my son can wear a hoodie underneath if needed and it's perfect. His wrists are very thin, so the banded cuffs are a nice feature to keep his hands from getting lost in the sleeves. We had a very wet fall in the Midwest and this jacket held up great. His sister has the same purple and likes to look cute in it at school. The zippers are great, no complaints!
