Birds love bright shiny objects. You can't beat the disco ball for that. I used one of these in each of my 3 bird cages. All were hits. Budgies love to pull the popper and wear a bell on their head. Corella can also pull, and he sometimes hits his head with it to make the whole toy swing and catch the light. Quirky pigeons who aren't overly impressed with toys still love to peck at them and watch them sparkle. A small note is that the hanger is made of fairly flimsy plastic. I don't expect it to stand up to constant bird attacks. But for the price it's a cheap treat and we can probably swap out the hangers for something else if needed to give them a second life. This toy is designed for small birds. Nothing stronger than cockatiel will resist, so let the kids enjoy this toy.
