Due to ankle surgery and subsequent foot problems, swelling and other things, I needed shoes with flexible velcro straps and comfortable but durable shoes. And one that looks beautiful, not orthopedic! This shoe meets all my requirements. I was so happy with it. I'll probably be buying navy blue soon. I like the way it looks and fits my feet. No pain, tightness, rubbing. Nearly perfect. The only reason it's not perfect is because it's perfect for my aching foot which has always been bigger anyway. But I had to put heel/ankle pads in the right boot to make it a bit more snug. Thanks to the flexibility of the Velcro straps, I can also tighten the right boot in the arch of the foot. This shoe also doesn't seem to put pressure on the middle heel, making it suitable for people with plantar fasciitis or other heel issues like me. I'm so glad I have these shoes.
