We use them in both the Propur stainless steel tank and the smaller jug version. We were able to get about a year with the 5 inch filter, about the same with the medium size jug model. You need to clean them regularly. Towards the end of the filter life, the flow rate drops significantly. Easy to Use: Basically, water from the kitchen sink faucet enters the top chamber, smells like chlorine, and comes out odorless and great tasting.
