Ideal for cases
This is the perfect tape for mending torn tolex on musical instrument cases. I've used duct tape before (because it has good texture and doesn't leave a sticky feel). But of course, the crimson tape is designed to come loose, so it needs to be replaced regularly. A friend suggested to me that you need a binder. He's right. The beautiful matte black finish blends well with the source material, and the adhesive will not slide or peel off the cases, even if the tape rubs against other cases, appliances, floors, etc.
