I am an apple-shaped girl. Or maybe a pumpkin butt. I carry my weight between the waist and knees.So, I am used to things fitting tightly or needing to get a larger bottom size.These look very tight, so I ordered a 4x. I've had bike-style shorts before and liked them. But these feel very different from any other pair I own. They almost feel like a wetsuit! I think my behind will be waterproof when wearing these! They have a mesh pocket on each hip.My biggest concern so far is the leg opening. It is very small! What are manufacturers thinking? If I need a 4x, you need to adjust the leg opening to larger as well! So, it fits in the thighs ok, but is very tight around the knee area.The mesh pockets are pretty shallow, so I would not trust your phone in them. A tissue would be fine.The rise is cut VERY cheaply/skimpily, so as I walked, the back was sliding down my behind. Ugh. I'd stop, pul them back up in the back, and a few more steps had them sliding back down. Annoying.Overall, I did not care for the fabric or the cut. They feel much tighter than expected, so I'd say they run small.I definitely would NOT purchase these again.
