Like everything else these days, the cloud thinks your data belongs to them, is for their consumption, they can sell or rent, and the product you buy is their kiosk to sell you and for as long as possible to make money with you. This watch is great, the mobile app is nice, but they sell your soul and health data to their cloud. Love the watch, it offers LOTS of functionality as a standalone device and can be an extension for alerts from your iPhone WITHOUT the Garmin Collect app. I downloaded the app to protect my privacy, it doesn't support the health care I wanted, So I uninstalled the app and had to give up on Garmin storing any data they could get from you. Goodbye forever! Without the app, the watch does great things. It just doesn't store or display the data the way the app promises. Very happy with the watch, would recommend it to anyone who wants/needs to monitor heart issues and also to any fitness enthusiast who uses many trainer style apps to keep track of many activities. I am not in favor of sharing my information with unknown persons/companies for storage, use, consumption and sale. You may not care, but one day you will wonder why so many people know so much about you and why you don't have health insurance, a life sentence, get a car loan or the job you really want. Sorry for the tirade - great watch. The application wasn't performing the functions I needed, so I deleted it. I hope this helps you decide. I'm 6ft 1 ex weightlifter and am very happy with the size of the face (don't knock on the door frame as I walk through), the bracelet is almost too small but works well, doesn't make a fashion statement in black, as most people know not that i wear a heart rate monitor instead of a watch, it's comfortable to wear, it's waterproof, but i take it off to shower (it needs to be cleaned under the watch) and in general i take it off am very happy with this watch.
