This review is for the D version that I received. The speakerphone has very good sound quality and I would give the speakerphone a four or five star rating. Above the model number was a "promotional" sticker that said "Do Not Call From Cell Phones". (It's not shown in the product photo or mentioned in the description.) I interpreted this as immunity to the annoying hum picked up by cellphone speakers due to radio interference. Overall, I'm giving it two stars because the speaker hisses when the device is off. I have a very quiet home office and the device is relatively close to me; The constant hissing annoyed me and I sent the device back. (Revain makes returns very easy.) I'll try the Voicestation 500. The hiss was noticed by other reviewers, so it's not specific to my device. If you are within a few feet of the device or in a noisy environment, you probably won't hear the hiss. Update January 16, 2010: The speaker of the Voicestation 500 also emits a hissing sound when the device is switched off.
