This is my second set and I will never buy another Cuisinart product as long as I can help. Yes, they are guaranteed, and yes, you pay for round-trip shipping. You will also get the worst customer service no matter when you call or what you were talking about. I cannot stress enough that you will not run away from this product. It doesn't take long and having to call to claim your WARRANTY is the most annoying and annoying thing to do! if i could give it negative five stars for everything i would have. It's really overpriced for the amount of use you actually get from it, and then it has the audacity of being something that has to be shipped back at your expense. The acrylic spice jar is very thin and the tabs on the top that keep it flush with the device break very easily. This mug costs $16 to replace and is discounted under warranty. Worst product ever.
