I was initially very skeptical about this product as my dog wanted his old cage back and didn't want to use it. Your old padded box is so worn and falling apart that I had to replace it. I also didn't want to buy the same old cushion box I had because it fell apart after 3 years. But after 3 weeks in the living room my dog has started using it and will nap and sleep everyday. It's been over 6 months since I bought it and she uses it every night. A standard wire, metal, or plastic wall cage will give my dog a panic attack. In the past she would scratch her claws until they bled just to get out of those boxes. However, this padded cage has plenty of window space, which allows for better airflow and a wider view for my dog to see his surroundings, making him feel more comfortable than claustrophobic. The product is very durable and I can only recommend it.
